With cold and flu season on the horizon along with rising coronavirus rates, health experts are urging Americans to begin protecting themselves with flu vaccinations. Here’s a roundup of retailers who’ll reward you for getting your flu shot.
Albertsons and Safeway
The biggest reward deal is from Albertsons and Safeway grocery stores. Members of the stores’ loyalty program can get their flu shot through Dec. 31 and receive 10% off a store purchase of up to $200. A $40 minimum grocery purchase is required.
The offer is not available in Arkansas or to New Jersey residents younger than 60. In addition, New York residents can only qualify for the reward if they get the COVID-19 vaccine.
CVS ExtraCare cardholders who get a flu shot at CVS Pharmacy will get a coupon good for $5 off a $20 purchase. The offer is good while supplies last or until Dec. 31. Most insurance plans cover the cost of the vaccine.
This deal is available until Dec. 31, while supplies last. The offer is not available in Arkansas, New Jersey or New York; at MinuteClinic locations in Arkansas, Pennsylvania or Rhode Island; or at CVS pharmacies located in Target or Schnucks stores. Read about other restrictions on the CVS site.
Advantage Card holders can get $5 in rewards for getting their flu shot at a Giant Eagle pharmacy. The offer also is available on other vaccines. (The flu shot is not available for minors in West Virginia.)
You can get $20 in free groceries by getting $10 for your flu shot and $10 for any other vaccine scheduled on the same day.
