Target always hits the money-saving bullseye for parents, teachers and students.
Thanks to the popular store’s back-to-school sales, bargain hunters will be ready for the bell to ring without breaking their fall budget. In fact, the big box retailer is offering more school savings than ever before.
With the majority of items under $10 and deals starting under $1, customers will find thousands of back-to-school and college supplies, apparel, snacks and more across many only-at-Target and national brands.

Target Circle College Student Discount
New this year, Target Circle college students can save even more on their back-to-college essentials with 20% off a one-time purchase from July 3 to Sept. 3. (Last year, the discount was 15%.)
Extended Teacher Prep Event
Educators enjoy an extended Teacher Prep Event through the Target Circle loyalty program to help teachers easily get what they need for the classroom at value prices. The program will run July 17 to Sept. 10 giving teachers the opportunity to save 15% on school supplies and more. (The program is nearly six weeks longer than last year.)
All K-12 teachers, homeschool teachers, teachers working at daycare centers and early childhood learning centers, university or college professors and vocational/trade/technical schoolteachers with valid identification are eligible.
Tax-free weekends
Target stores in states with sales-tax holiday events will not charge sales tax, giving customers in those areas another way to save. Customers can learn more about their state’s sales tax holiday here, including Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
