Lights! Camera! Action! Going to the movies has a whole new meaning when you see it in the ScreenX format.
ScreenX’s multi-projection technology expands the picture beyond the screen and onto the auditorium walls, making you feel like you’re in the middle of the scene.
ScreenX utilizes an array of projectors on each side of the theater. From there, special ScreenX software blends multiple images into one seamless image extending from the center out. You’re in the movies!
There are three components of the ScreenX format:
Projectors: ScreenX utilizes up to 12 additional laser digital projectors to form the wing images.
Sound: ScreenX auditoriums strategically place audio systems and speakers to ensure they do not interfere with the immersive 270-degree experience.
ScreenX “Wings”: ScreenX walls are specifically created with a special fabric to ensure the brightness and color closely match the center screen, along the full length of the auditorium.
And if you’ve never enjoyed the ultra-immersive format, ScreenX Day is your chance to experience it without breaking your entertainment budget.
On April 29, Regal Cinemas is bringing back four amazing movies in ScreenX for one day only — with tickets for just $3. Regular adult ticket prices are around $17. Prices vary by location.
