The meaty sandwich gets its own holiday, National Hamburger Day, on May 28, wrapping up National Burger Month. The day of the burger takes place close to Memorial Day, a time when many people fire up their grills and enjoy hamburgers at a holiday cookout.
Don’t confuse National Hamburger Day in May with National Cheeseburger Day in September! You have two holidays to save on your favorite burgers.
You can celebrate National Hamburger Day 2022 with deals, discounts and freebies from various restaurants. This year’s deals haven’t been announced yet, but last year’s deals are in the list below. Burger King: Buy one Whopper, get the second for $1. This BOGO deal is ongoing, but is available on May 28, 2021. The discount is available online and in-restaurant. No coupon or promo code necessary.
McDonald’s: Burger lovers can buy one Big Mac or Quarter Pounder With Cheese and get the second for $1 with McDonald’s ongoing BOGO deal. You can even mix and match to get one of each.
Pepsi: On May 28, purchase a Pepsi and a burger and post a photo of yourself with your food and drink on social media with the hashtag #BetterWithPepsi. Once Pepsi verifies your receipt, they’ll comp you your soda with a rebate via Venmo, PayPal or digital gift card for up to $3.49.
Smashburger: Celebrate National Hamburger Day with a Double Classic Burger at Smashburger for only $5 at participating locations on May 28. The burger typically costs $7.49 at most locations, so you’ll save 33%.
Wendy’s: On May 28, get a FREE Dave’s Single or Junior Bacon Cheeseburger with any purchase. Or, buy any premium hamburger and get an additional premium hamburger for just $1. These offers areavailable via the Wendy’s app.
