Five Guys celebrates 40th birthday with rare buy-one-get-one deal for four days

Does Five Guys get five separate birthday wishes? Five Guys celebrated its 40th birthday with a rare buy-one-get-one offer on February 17, 2026.

However, the response was bigger than expected — probably because the burger chain isn’t known for offering any discounts. Lots of chaos and frustration ensued, with many locations running out of ingredients and fans have trouble accessing the deal online.

Fortunately, Five Guys is doing the right thing and making it up to its loyal fans for four days.

From March 9 to 12, 2026, Five Guys is again offering a buy-one-get-one FREE burger (of equal or lesser value) at participating locations — in celebration of its milestone 40th birthday for a second time.

The offer is only available when you order online via Five Guys’ site or app — use promo code FGAFTERPARTY at checkout. The offer is not available in-restaurant. 

You must have a Five Guys account to qualify for the offer. (Five Guys does not have a loyalty program.)
