The Entertainment Book, which contains hundreds of 50% off and BOGO coupons for local restaurants and attractions for cities across the U.S., is going to be all-digital starting in 2022. If you have a 2021 Entertainment Book, your coupons are all still good until December 31. After that, however, your only option will be online or via the Entertainment.com mobile app.
Lots of folks looked forward to buying the new Entertainment Book every year, and doubtless some are going to be disappointed that a physical book is not going to be available. (As one of our readers pointed out, the books made a great gift — but you can’t wrap an app to use as a stocking stuffer.)
Still, aside from lack of giftability, there are some significant advantages of going digital with the Entertainment coupons. The online and mobile-app coupons have some really great perks that true bargain shoppers absolutely love.
Benefits of the all-digital Entertainment Book coupons
The discontinuation of print Entertainment books is a significant change, but one we think has many benefits. We’ve listed our favorite below, but if you have any questions or need more information about how the digital subscription will work, visit the Entertainment.com website here.
New, lower price
The first perk of getting the digital subscription at Entertainment.com is the lower price. The full-priced physical book was a good deal at $35 since it contained so many half-price, BOGO, and percent-off discounts for restaurants, retail, and travel. But a digital subscription to the Entertainment Book for one year is only $24.99, and you get the first 30 days FREE.
If you’re not sure you want to commit for a year, you can sign up for a monthly plan at $2.99 a month.
Coupons for every city
With the old-style physical Entertainment Books you had to purchase a book for your own city and then purchase other books for other cities if you wanted to use the coupons while you are on vacation. A huge advantage to the digital version is that you can get coupons in any city where Entertainment has a presence. So if you want to visit the zoo in Aunt Sally’s town, you can use your Entertainment coupons and the aircraft museum when you visit Grandma. Next month, when you’re in a different city for a business trip, you can find a BOGO restuarant coupons or hotel discounts for that city too. All with one subscription!
Another plus is that the mobile app is location-enabled, meaning if you set location tracking, it will find coupons for nearby businesses. This can be a big timesaver. And location can be turned off again in case you don’t want to always leave it enabled. (Although, of course, if you turn off location tracking the app can’t find nearby coupons.)
Your coupons are always on your phone
One of the biggest benefits of having the digital subscription is that you don’t have to remember to bring your coupon book with you. With the digital subscription, your Entertainment coupons are always on your phone.
No expired coupons
The digital Entertainment.com coupons are always kept up to date, so you won’t have a bunch of expired coupons taking up space in your wallet.
Coupons are available immediately
With the digital subscription to Entertainment.com there’s no waiting. As soon as you make your purchase and open your account, you can start using your coupons via the browser. Setting up the app just takes a few minutes as well. Download the Entertainment app, verify your account, take care of a few initial settings and get access to local and national deals immediately.
Again, getting the additional digital access for free when you purchase the book is a great deal. Here’s a summary of the reasons we’ve given:
- Get digital access to your coupons. They’re right on your phone, so you don’t need to remember to bring the book with you.
- Get coupons for any major city where there is an Entertainment Book. Traveling? You now have coupons, on your phone, for the city you’re visiting.
- New local and national coupons can be added at any time.
- Search for coupons based on category or location.

About the Entertainment Coupon Book
You’ve probably heard of the Entertainment Book; you would purchase the book for a specific city and it contained coupons and promo codes for attractions, dining, retail discounts, hotel and car rental coupon codes, and more. Frequently, the coupons for attractions and dining were BOGO (buy one, get one free) discounts, which can equal as much as 50% off.
Often, you’d save more than the price of the book with just one or two local attraction coupons – especially when you bought the coupon book on sale.
Beginning in 2022, the company will no longer print the physical Entertainment Book and all your coupons will be available digitally, either online via a web browser or through the Entertainment app (available for both iPhone and Android).
All of the coupons are good immediately, as soon as you purchase your subscription. Two options are available:
- A monthly subscription for $2.99 per month
- An annual subscription for $24.99 with a 30-day free trial.
Are you planning a vacation? You can use the Entertainment app and digital coupons in any city where Entertainment has coupons. It will pay for itself. The sooner you order, the sooner you can start saving.
