Cinemark celebrates National Popcorn Day with $5 Bring-Your-Own-Bucket special for two days

Add this buttery bargain to your bucket list, popcorn lovers! The savings will definitely be popping  at Cinemark for National Popcorn Day.

If you’re craving movie theater popcorn at a blockbuster price, head over to the popular theater chain on Jan. 18 and 19, 2026. Bring your own bucket from home and they will fill it to the brim with popcorn at a special price.

Best of all, literally anything can be a bucket! Get creative — any container can be a bucket, including a Lowe’s 5-gallon blue bucket. 

On Jan. 18 and 19, 2026, Cinemark will load “your bucket” with popcorn for just $5 at participating locations. (Select locations will also offer kettle corn.)

Your container can be up to 400-oz. That’s equivalent to two (2) XL popcorns!

All containers must be clean and sanitized before use. Cinemark will also provide a complimentary food-grade liner for all popcorn fills. 

Limit one fill-up per person.
