An inexpensive trip to the movies is a perfect way to entertain the kids. Metroplitan Theatres, with movie theatres mostly in the Western United States, is offering a Kids Summer Film Series from June 14 to August 16.
The line-up includes:
- June 14: Despicable Me
- June 21: Mr. Peabody & Sherman
- June 28: The LEGO Movie
- July 5: Despicable Me 2
- July 12: Kung Fu Panda 2
- July 19: Minions
- July 26: The Peanuts Movie
- August 2: The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water
- August 9: Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip
- August 16: Hotel Transylvania 2
Shows start at 10 a.m. every Tuesday at participating theaters. Admission is $2 per peron and doors open at 9 a.m. Seating is limited to theater capacity. Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the show at the box office. (Note: MetroLux 14 in Loveland, Colorado and Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara, CA show the movies on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., in addition to Tuesdays.)
