It’s never wise to keep expired or unused prescriptions around the house, so what do you do with them? National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 26, offers an opportunity to safely discard them for FREE. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring any over-the-counter or prescription medication for proper disposal. There are many drop-off locations throughout the country, which you can find by clicking on the “Find a Collection Site” link on the event website after entering your zip code. However, some items cannot be accepted, including needles and sharps, mercury thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy/radioactive substances and pressurized canisters.
