This summer, Barnes & Noble wants kids to go on an adventure without ever leaving their backyard or bedroom. All they need is a good book and a vivid imagination. Barnes & Noble’s Summer Reading Program rewards kids (grades one through six) with a FREE book, after they’ve taken just eight literary adventures. Along with their parents, kids keep track of the books they’ve read in their Reading Journal. (You can download a journal here.) Once it’s complete, young readers can take it to any participating location to pick out a well-deserved reward from a limited selection of children’s books. The program runs from May 19 to Sept. 7. Don’t forget, the bookstore also offers a FREE Kids’ Club with rewards and special offers — all year-long.
