target store

By now, we all know about the massive security breach at Target. This week, the company has announced it is partnering with Experian to offer one year of FREE credit monitoring for all guests who shopped at its U.S. stores. You have until April 23 to register. (Activation codes must be redeemed by April 30.) To sign up for the complimentary service, complete the following steps:

Enter the required information, click “submit” and then watch your e-mail for an activation code. The code will be sent within 72 hours. (We received ours in less than an hour or so.) Then, follow the instructions within the e-mail to set up your free credit monitoring. In addition to a complimentary copy of your credit report, you will receive daily credit monitoring, identity theft insurance (where available) and have access to personalized assistance from a highly trained Fraud Resolution Agent. No credit card information is required to activate the service, so we don’t anticipate an automatically renewal at the end of the year. For FAQs about the program, click here.
