Harkins Theatres annual (and very popular) Summer Movie Fun season tickets are now on sale, a deal that lets you see 10 family-friendly films for $5.

Here’s how it works: First, choose the day you wish to see each film — Monday through Friday. (You must see each film on the same day of the week at the same theatre all summer.) Then, buy your season ticket for that day at your theatre’s Guest Service Desk. (Parents, grandparents and/or guardians must also purchase a season ticket, as children must be accompanied by an adult.) The cost is $5 for all 10 films – one flick per week from June 9 through August 15, with each show starting at 9:45 a.m. (Doors open at 9 a.m.)

Booklets are available until they sell out, or through the seventh week of the program, whichever comes first. The 2014 line-up includes Escape from Planet Earth, Epic, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, The Smurfs 2, Despicable Me 2, Turbo, The Croods, Horton Hears a Who, LEGO Movie and Free Birds. If the kids want to bring a friend, no problem — single tickets are available the day of the show for $2. As an added bonus, Summer Movie Fun season ticket holders also receive a voucher for a FREE Kids Combo ($4.50 value) for redemption in September. For locations nationwide, click here.
