Are you craving crayfish? IKEA is celebrating one of the most important social events in Sweden — kräftskiva, a.k.a. crayfish party. The party is usually held in August during the height of the crayfish season. Participants often wear funny hats and sing songs. This year, the all-you-can-eat kräftskiva is on Friday, August 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. For $9.99 per adult and $2.49 for kids (12 and under), you can get your fill of traditional Swedish fare, including crayfish, salmon, meatballs, salads, dinner rolls and more. Plus, the price includes desserts and beverages. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the store and usually sell out quickly. Seating is limited, so plan accordingly.
