Apple is once again offering its FREE filmmaking camps for kids 8 to 12 years old at Apple Stores nationwide. Youngsters will storyboard their ideas, shoot video, create a soundtrack using GarageBand on an iPad and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac.

Registration is not open yet, but you can sign up now to be notified when it is. If you’re interested in this for your child, you should definitely sign up to be notified, because once registration opens the sessions fill up very quickly. Last year, registration opened in late June.
