Winners are Joann & Sheri! CouponChief.com may be the largest source of coupon and promo codes for online retailers. Search by retailer or product category including apparel, electronics, travel, entertainment and more. What really separates CouponChief.com from the rest is that the site promises all coupon codes are valid and encourages its users to rate coupons, note when they are used and leave comments. You can share codes with friends and family by email, set alerts for your favorite retailers, even submit coupon codes and earn some cash. To encourage LOTC readers to check them out, CouponChief.com is giving two Living on the Cheap readers each a $25 Target gift card.

To enter you must do two things: 1.) Be an e-mail subscriber of LOTC. E-mail subscribers receive one e-mail every day, with a list of posts from the previous 24 hours. Addresses are never spammed, shared or sold. If you’re not a subscriber yet, you can sign up now. It’s quick, easy and FREE. Make sure to check your inbox (or spam folder) after signing up because you’ll have to confirm your registration. If you already subscribe, ignore #1. You do not have to subscribe again.

2). Leave a comment telling us the best deal you ever got with a coupon. Deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. PST on Wednesday, January 9. We’ll randomly draw two names from all eligible entries, double-check that they are subscribers with an activated subscription and award the gift cards. (Note: Only one entry per e-mail address and/or family.) Winners will be contacted via e-mail for a mailing address — so check your spam filters. We hate to act like Scrooge, but, if we can’t contact you, the prize goes to someone else. Again, you must be a LOTC subscriber to win. Note: this giveaway is sponsored by CouponCabin.com.

Like most of us, we all use coupons for a variety of things. One of my favorites was on Election Day…soooo many free items were available using I VOTED coupons (Starbucks, Einstein Bagels, Cinnabon..) An All-Day-long score!! :)

  2. Birthday deals are the best!Lots of free meals for the month!

  4. I love the free coffee!

  5. I went to Safeway last week because I saw your post about the soda. When I got there, they were sold out but gave me the next larger size for the same deal. After the coupon, only have to pay 20 cent tax :)

My best coupon deal was using a 10% off Lowes coupon to buy attic insulation that was on sale and had a manufacturer’s Lowe’s $100 gift card rebate and then getting an income tax credit to boot. Big return on a small investment.

I once used a coupon at Target that allowed you to receive a free $5 gift card if you purchased a specific item. So I bought a $2.50 box of cereal (which I wanted, needed and love) and receive an extra $5 gift card to buy more cereal later!

$15 free dollars at express they forgot to include that you had to spend $30 so I got to use it a few times before they reprinted the coupon and stopped accepting it

Best deal I ever got with a coupon was for Disney Tix. We used my sister’s work affiliated website and received $99 off each of our California CityPasses! We had so much fun surprising the kids and did it all within budget thanks to great coupons!

  16. My best deal was getting my age (75) deducted from a lunch bill at Paxia. The fajitas were $16 and fed two of us! The bill was $4

  17. There are so many amazing deals that you can get with a coupon, but I especially buy the get one free deals that Mad Greens and Noodles & Co periodically send out, and LOVE when the item is on sale and you have a large coupon, and you get the item for almost free.

  18. The best deal I ever got with a coupon (a Groupon, actually) was a night at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado for $99. The room is normally $245/night. My sister and I went there they day after Xmas this year and loved it. She’d never been to CO before, so the Stanley was the quintessential place to take her.

  19. The best deal I ever got with a coupon, or at least my fave deal, is at Bath and Body Works with the $10 off $30 coupons you get for doing their receipt surveys. Combined with $10 candle deal, you can get $20 candles for more like $7. Love to give as gifts.

The best deal I ever got was on Restaurant.com. I paid $12 for a $25 off of food coupon at The Brat Stop and the food was delicious! Two of us enjoyed brats, german potato salad and beverages. Wonderful :)

What I have to say isn’t necessarily a coupon, but ticket I received or won to the Colorado wine Tasting last year. I have been to other wine tastings but never one this big, they had more wines, vodkas, brandy’s, and whiskey’s then I have ever seen or knew we’re even our there on the market. And the appetizers went well with everything, it’s was just an overall great experience.

I got a room overlooking the ocean in San Diego for two nights for $100 TOTAL. It rocked. The deal came up right as I was making plans for my family to go to Legoland on vacation – and the hotel was right across the street!
