Is summer really over? Don’t say it’s so. Regal Cinemas is saying good-bye to summer with a special for Regal Crown Club members $6 tickets to “see America’s favorites” in RPX. What’s RPX? Regal Premium Experience is the chain’s high-end theater experience with plush seats, a high-definition 60-foot-high high screen and a sound system powered by 100,000 watts.

From Friday, August 30 to Thursday, September 5, Regal will be showing Despicable Me 2 and Man of Steel. It’s a great deal because both films are in 3-D, which are regularly as much as $18.50 per ticket in many markets. If you’re not a Regal Crown Club member, the cost is still a deal at $7. However, why would you not join? It’s FREE! Plus, you can get other discounts and earn freebies through the loyalty program. Remember, RPX screens are only at select locations nationwide.

  1. My local regal cinema has no knowledge of it being a $5.00 movie weekend.

Don – As it states in the post, not every location has a RPX (Regal Premium Experience) screen — only Regal Cinemas with a RPX screen are offering $5 tickets to such screenings. It sounds as though your local Regal Cinema does NOT have an RPX screen. For full details and participating locations, visit www.regmovies.com/rpx. Thank you for your comment. -BKC

  3. Why post this when there are no rpx theaters in Indianapolis or even Indiana for that matter?
